2026 Boys Baseball Registration

Welcome

Welcome to the 2026 BYS Boys Baseball Registration!

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information and sign up for participation.

Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

Blaine Youth Sports Baseball is for all skill levels.    The mission of BYS is to allow for as many athletes in Blaine to play, so this means we may have multiple teams of the same grade level.  We will do our best to accommodate all registered players.  If we exceed roster capacity and cannot add another team, players may be placed through tryouts or limited based on registration date.

Teams will be divided as follows:

Rookies Team (for kids in grades 1-2)  Pitching machine or coaches will pitch to the players. The Pitching machine is set 40 feet from home plate and bases are 60 feet.

Minors Team (for kids in grades 3-4).  Kid Pitch 40-60 league (40 foot pitching distance and 6o foot bases).  Players are not allowed to lead off, but are allowed to steal (cannot steal home).

Majors Team (for kids in grades 5-6).  Kid Pitch 40-60 league (40 foot pitching distance and 6o foot bases).  Players are not allowed to lead off, but are allowed to steal all bases including home.

When are Practices?

Practices will most likely be once or twice a week depending on age and field availability.  Practices will start the end of March.

When are Games?

Games will start the week of April 13 and run through May 22.   There will be local travel to Ferndale, Meridian, Mt. Baker, Lynden and Nooksack. Teams will play 2 games per week, 1 on a weeknight and the other on a Saturday.

Entry fee is $85 per child.  Each child will get a uniform shirt and a hat.  Players will need a glove, pants and appropriate shoes.  BYS may be able to supply helmets, bats and catcher gear if needed.

Coaching:

  • We cannot run this program without our volunteer coaches!  We need you!  If you can, we encourage you to sign up to coach.

Please remember that Blaine Youth Sports is a non-profit and ALL VOLUNTEER based organization.  Our board members and sports directors spend a lot of time behind the scenes putting together and running this program for our community.  We need your helpful support! We recognize that sports can bring out strong emotions, but it’s important to remember that our program is designed not only to teach skills but also to foster teamwork, resilience, and, most importantly, a love for the game. To achieve this, we rely on a positive and supportive environment from everyone involved—both on and off the field.
